Get involved with the Environmental Justice Action Committee and help us fight for issues like food justice, water rights, energy justice, supporting Hawaiʻi’s farmers, waste issues and addressing the threat and challenges of climate change.
The Environmental Justice Action Committee believes that everyone has the right to a clean, healthy environment. Beyond that though, we believe that humans are not entitled to do with the environment what they will. We believe that the Earth, and all organisms, are deserving of respect and protection as well. Living in balance with nature is not only the moral obligation of all, but is critical to our own survival as a species. The committee is dedicated to fighting for policies that achieve environmental balance and move our society in a sustainable direction.
The committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Join the meeting here.
