Join us for a policy and advocacy training on January 11, 2020. Learn from local experts how to:
Recognize a problem in your community and get organized to advance a common goal.
Apply tactics to map out a campaign strategy and influence decision makers.
Learn about the legislative process in Hawai‘i and how to participate during the legislative session.
Meet elected officials on how bill decisions are made and why advocacy is important.
This training is hosted by the Hawaiʻi Public Health Institute, Hawaiʻi Appleseed, Hawaiʻi Children’s Action Network, Common Cause Hawaiʻi, Blue Zones Project - Hawaiʻi and Hawaiʻi Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations, groups with long track records of policy work and advocacy in Hawaiʻi.
The training fee is $15. Contact action@ypdahawaii.org if you need sponsorship; don’t let the cost of attendance keep you from equipping yourself for action.
